If you are a foreign citizen and plan to stay in Denmark for more than three months, you must register with International House Copenhagen. Whether you come from an EU country or from outside the EU, you must first apply for a residence permit. Once you have received it, you can register your entry into Denmark.
Please note, that you cannot register in Sorø Kommune, Borgerservice, you have to go to International House Copenhagen, Nyropsgade 1, 1602 Copenhagen.
How to do it:
- Book an appointment with SIRI to apply for your residence permit. SIRI is The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration and is located together with International House.
- Book an appointment with International House Copenhagen to register your entry and apply for the yellow health insurance card
If you will work in Denmark, whether for less than or more than three months, you must apply for a tax card. You apply for the tax card at International House Copenhagen as well.
